Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) wants the House Oversight Committee to investigate civil rights abuses of J6 political prisoners.

In addition, she wants to review the shooting of Ashli Babbitt.

Human Events Editor Ben Kew stated, “This should be an absolute priority for the Republican-controlled house.”

He’s 100% correct.

Any Republican-majority House that doesn’t make the treatment of J6 political prisoners a top priority is a failure to its constituents.

“There’s a woman in this room whose daughter was murdered on January 6, Ashli Babbitt, and … there’s never been a trial. As a matter of fact, no one has cared about the person that shot and killed her, and no one in this Congress has really addressed that issue, January 6 committee didn’t address it,” Marjorie Taylor Greene said.

“I believe that there are many people that came into the Capitol on January 6 whose civil rights and liberties are being violated heavily,” she continued.

“This committee will, I hope Mr. Chairman, look into those civil rights abuses because they’re happening in a jail right here in this city,” she said.

“I’ve been in that jail and it’s not just the January 6 defendants, pre-trial by the way, it’s many of the inmates in there who are living in horrific conditions,” she added.

Greene initially refused to yield her time while finishing her statement.

“I would like to say and point out that civil rights and liberties are important, but we have to make sure that we crack down on the two-tier justice system because that needs to end,” Greene concluded as she then yielded the remainder of her time.
