[Warning: Graphic and disturbing]

There’s a new drug infiltrating cities across the U.S. and it’s simply horrifying.

Xylazine, otherwise known as “tranq,” “tranq dope,” and “zombie drug” has been wreaking havoc in major cities across the country with devastating effects: it can literally rot the user’s flesh off their bones.

Tranq — which is meant to be an animal tranquilizer — was first seen in Philly and it’s already been found in 36 states. It’s used for cutting heroin, fentanyl, and other illicit drugs. It’s a non-opioid, so people who overdose on it don’t respond to Narcan, the most common overdose reversal medicine that saves countless lives each year.

The drug causes the typical sedative-like symptoms, like excessive sleepiness, slurred speech and respiratory depression, but also raw, crusty wounds on the skin that can become extremely severe if left untreated. Amputation is sometimes necessary if they’re not taken care of in time. It’s straight out of a dang horror movie!

Philadelphia recently reported that 90% of lab-tested dope samples contained xylazine.

Cutting opioids with tranq apparently makes the high last longer, and it’s taking over because dope dealers are soulless scumbags.

This stuff is nasty. Lord have mercy.
