Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki and House Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), two key perpetrators of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, had another conspiracy theory to peddle on Psaki’s CNN show on Sunday.
On MSNBC, the interlocutors bantered about the baseless speculation that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) was an asset of foreign agents, due to his investigations into alleged Biden family corruption.
“I want to ask about the work of the Oversight Committee, because you and Congressman Dan Goldman sent a letter to Oversight Chair James Comer this week requesting that he hand over any information he’s received from Gal Luft, with the man who the GOP claimed, for those who haven’t been following this in detail, he had evidence of corruption by the Biden family — who was charged with arms trafficking, sanctions violations, and acting as an unregistered agent for China,” Psaki said. “It is almost like part of a movie that is happening right now. According to an indictment on sale this week. What information are you seeking about James Comer’s involvement with Luft and what do you want to know?”
“Gal Luft was supposed to be the star witness here in arraigning Joe Biden on the old Giuliani charges of a fake, Ukrainian bribery scandal,” Raskin argued. “And it turns out that Luft was missing as Chairman Comer kept saying, and the reason he was missing is because he’s a fugitive from justice. He’s on the run around the world away from the U.S. Government and this is gonna be the star witness against Joe Biden. What I’m afraid is happening, Jen, is that the Trump party has created such a topsy-turvy world that we are getting real low-life characters like George Santos like Donald Trump like Gal Luft who say, ‘I think I’m going to be able to launder all of my crimes and wrap myself in the protection of the Republican Party’.”
“So how concerned are you that James Comer, was the chairman of the committee, was knowingly, unknowingly working with co-opted by a foreign agent?” Psaki asked.
“I’m just concerned that the House Oversight Committee, which has a very proud history with, you know, Congressman Waxman as chair, the great Elijah Cummings of Maryland as chair, is suddenly being compromised in a really serious way,” Raskin claimed. “Our legitimacy is being eroded by the tactics adopted by Chairman Comer.”
The House Oversight Committee’s allegations of Biden corruption are based on subpoenaed financial records and are not reliant upon the character of the witnesses. It should be noted that in corruption investigations witnesses who have ties to a subject have often conducted criminal enterprises together. In this case, Dr. Gal Luft was a known business associate of Hunter Biden’s.
Dr. Luft, an Israeli academic and key whistleblower in the Hunter Biden probe, was recently indicted by the Department of Justice after going public with explosive claims about alleged Biden family corruption.
Luft is facing charges for failing to register as a foreign agent while he allegedly worked to further China’s interests in the U.S. The eight-count indictment also includes allegations of arms trafficking, violating Iranian sanctions, and providing false statements to federal agents.
According to Israeli international criminal and civil rights lawyer Mordechai Tzivin, who is representing Luft, his client has information that would ‘bury’ Hunter Biden and ‘shift attention toward the president himself.’
